River's Recruit Charm Bracelet (Giveaway)

First of all, I want to thank everyone that purchased a copy of River's Recruit. The response was amazing! It took Enchantment months to reach this milestone. I wish I could hug every single one of you! I'm also grateful for the positive reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Seriously. I can't stop grinning!

Anyway... I thought y'all might like to see the River's Recruit charm bracelet I'm giving away. For details, scroll down and read my previous post.

Everything on the bracelet represents something from the book. I'm especially proud of the mini-tags spelling "River" since I stamped them myself (without smashing any fingers ;-) but my favorite charm is the miniature book cover I purchased from "The Bookswag Shop." The photo doesn't do it justice.

The wolf, horse, dove, apple, dog tag and arrowhead are obvious symbols. The amethyst chips and clear crystals are slightly more subtle. Anyone care to guess what they represent?

To enter the drawing, leave a comment here (or on the previous post). And if jewelry isn't your thing, the winner may choose a signed paperback copy of River's Recruit instead.

Sorry this is such a short post, but I need to get back to work on Finding Valor. Channie, Josh and Hunter are a bit jealous of all the attention River and Jonathan are getting.

    1. As soon as I finish "Finding Valor" the third (and final) book of The Channie Series, I'll devote all my time to "River's Remorse."

Have you read "Down the Rabbit Hole?" It's in Jonathan's POV and takes place after he returns from Afghanistan but before he leaves on his backpacking trip. It's one of the short stories featured in "Midnight Surrender" a young adult anthology. You can get the whole anthology for free at Smashwords http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/242381 or for $2.99 at Amazon.

(We're trying to get Amazon to pricematch it, so feel free to "report a lower price" ;-)

      Good luck in the drawing!

  4. wow, great giveaway. I just finished River's Recruit, and am floored at how great it is. I want book 2 now! That ending is mean!! lol, but I know its a necessary one, but man, think I have a book hangover, came looking for a date for book 2, and didn't see one. When is it expected? Please done say a year, lol. Oh, and I do have the Midnight Surrender , and just now realize it has the short story of Jonathan, can't wait to read that.
Anyway, would love to enter the giveaway.
    Thanks.

    2. I'm waiting until New Year's Day to do the drawing, so you're still in it! I'm so glad you enjoyed River's Recruit. You might enjoy my other two books, Enchantment and Taken. Both on sale for $.99 for a few more days. I'm working hard on finishing the third book of that series, then I'll devote all my time to River's Remorse. I'm not going to give projected publication dates anymore until I know for certain that I can meet the deadline. There are too many variables. But I doubt it will take me a full year. I published three books in a year and a half, so barring any unforseen problems, I "should" be able to deliver River's Remorse before... Oops, there I go again. No more predictions!

Best of luck in the drawing!

    1. Hi Tammy, Thank you so much! I love hearing from readers (especially happy ones ;-) Have you read River's Recruit, yet? I'll enter your name in the drawing, but the bracelet won't mean much until you read the book.

    1. Sorry about the cliffhanger. I thought about ending the story sooner, but that would have been worse. (I don't want to write any spoilers for people that haven't read the book yet, but you know what I mean?)

  10. I am new to your books. I found Enchantment about three weeks ago and could not put it down. So of course being the reading junky that I am I downloaded the other book in that series and read it in a week. I did not think your work could be any better but WOW I read River's Recruit and was blown away. I too am an aspiring stutter and I just hope that my work will be as good as yours. I can't wait for your follow up work.

  12. is there anyway I could get a book cover charm? I looked on the book swag shop's page and it says not to order unless u own the image and I don't. I really enjoyed book one it's been a while since I devoured a book like that and it seemed really original, so many things in paranormal romances seem like the same premise over and over again, I came to this site to look for book 2's release date. Do you know how many books will be in the series yet? Do you have a ball park figure for book 2's release date? Thanks!

    1. Hmm...I'm not sure, why don't you email me at TheChannieSeries@gmail.com and I'll see if I can "give you permission" to order one in an email reply.

I'm glad you enjoyed River's Recruit. I don't even try to estimate release dates anymore. It always takes longer than I think it will, but River's Remorse should be out sometime next year. There will be at least 3 books, probably 4 in the series.

      Thanks,
      Charlotte

  16. I just finished reading River's Recruit and loved every second of it!! I just saw that there is a prequel that I'll be reading next... but when will we be able to get our hands on book two of the Sanctuary Series?!

    ReplyDelete
  17. So I can't put your books down. I read the Channie series in less than a week and I just finished Rivers Recruit and I started it yesterday...I have two daughters; a 3 yr old and a 6 year old and its hard to find time to read but I've got to say I had to make time for these books! I really want to know when the second book for your Sanctuary series is coming out. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything and I know it can't end with just one book. Please don't take long putting it out there I don't think I could take the suspense! I love what you do please don't ever stop!
